Don`t forget to write (again)

Here`s a card I recently made with some more supplies of the card kit.
I combined the flowers with a sentiment from paper smooches - love their fonts!
Hopefully I get to make more in the near future :-)))

Don`t forget to write

I have purchased this beautiful PI kit `don`t forget to write´ and I JUST DON`T HAVE the time to use it. Sigh. The day should have more hours, really!
But the other day I had a few quiet hours - sat down- and finally ceated something with this set. It`s a gorgeous set and I especially love the litte square die.
But ... for this card I didn`t use it, only made an `ordinary´ sized card with it.
More to come from that set, I promise :-)

MIM #255 string art using die cuts

Another MIM and this time it`s with using strings. How fun!
It just screamed to me to use a doily for they have openings you can use to thread your string through...
I used an older stamp set called `birthday tags 2012´ - it has lovely, lovely stamps in it and just great to make a focal point.
I impressed the center of my card wih a scalloped circle, then placed my doily detail die cut right in the middle and used a bit of string.
As I was already busy with `stitching´ I used the same string for my border die cut, from the `filligree border die´.
Thank you for having a look :-)

Create along with us June 216

Hello :-)
Joining this week`s `creat along with us´ fun as there were sooo many cards with watercolor effects which I just LOVE!
Not that I´m good at it, ha, but I believe that watercoloring is so gorgeous and I adore all the ladies who create artwork by using this technique.
So I took Heather`s card as my inspiration piece:

How beautiful are these???? Sigh....
As I really, like REALLY have a hard time coloring with watercolor I totally adore my zig markers. I swear to God - no matter how ugly I paint with them .... by adding water it will all look beautiful! Lol!
Best investment EVER, if you ask me.
So, this is MY masterpiece :-)

I didn`t use any flowers, like Heather did, but used the script swirls: birhtday stamp set instead. Embossed it with white embossing powder and added my zig Colors. Went over it with water and - yep . doesn`t look like I´m a COMPLETE beginner, right? hahaha
I added a sentiment in German, embossed on black card stock to the center of the swirl.
Thank you very much for visiting.

You are wonderful

Hello .... hello....
Just quickly poppin` in before my (looong) day starts :-)
Wanted to share a card I made a while ago.
I really cannot remember wich brand the flower stamp is .... the word die cuts are from paper smooches, that I´m sure of.
Did some embossig of the edges in silver here and used vellum over the stamped background. I have to use that technique more often! Adds SUCH a soft look to everything. :-)
Have a good day.

Don`t forget to write

I recently received (finally!!!) my don`t forget to write kit und included I found a pretty panel, saying just that. Perfect for a quick and easy card.

All I did was to glue the panel onto a white card base and embellish it just a bit more. I put a strip of green striped paper on the bottom of the card and used one of my beloved doilies in the upper corner for a bit of an extra. I´m ot so sure that the flower from `brusehd greetings`is the best choice ever (especially because it fills up ANOTHER corner and leads the eye away from the sentiment) but hey - that`s what I did.... :-)

Stencil and scribbles

Last month`s PI-release had a bunch of stencils in it and Nichole Heady posted a card, I really liked.
Nichole`s card:

I wanted to create something similar, yet knew, that the stencils I had from PI wouldn`t be super perfect for this technique....
I tried it anyways and used one of their tiny stencils. It was a lot of work but yet fun to make.
Definitely a technique I will try again :-)

Stacked Statements

First time I use this stamp set, incredible :-)
BUT - I´m making progress here....
Just a really quick and easy to make card. I swear to God ... any card that takes longer than 15min is IMPOSSIBLE at the moment cause my little one won`t give me a break that is longer than that. :-)))

First I impressed my cardstock with the woodgrain Impression plate by PI than I stamped the word onto the die cut with black ink. Also used a strip of patterned paper that was laying around on my desk. Quick, simple - BUT another card, yay!

Unicorn Wishes

I have some stamps and dies, only SOME, from Reverse Confetti. Well .... I could buy them ALL, for reals. They are super cute and many of the Images are so adorable and playful, sigh. But ... you can´t buy them all, right? :-)
I HAD to purchase their unicorn stamp though! How C U T E!!!!! Love this stamp set endlessly!!!!
Yet, we all know the story, it had to sit and wait up in my room, feeliing neglected.
Not anymore!
Yesterday I finally pulled it out and started to use it.
Sorry for the bad picture, bad light and everything. It was night already and the best light seemed to be the cooking area in my kitchen, lol.
Anyways - here`s my card.

I couldn`t resist to turn it into a shaker card and I put various sizes sequins in it as well as some beads.

I´m just SO busy with the kids and everything that I JUST don`t find the time for crafting of posting anything....
There are, though, still some cards I previously made and haven`t posted yet, so let`s start with those :-)
I wanted to use those super adorable birds from `spring woods´ again and used a picture I had made as my inspiration piece. Nothing is quite as inspiring as a lovely gift from someone special - so - it was a piece of cake to create my card :-)))

Here`s the picture of the flowers I got:

And here is the card I made.

Work it Wednesday SSS

Decided to make a card for this week`s SSS theme: FLOWERS.
Love them!
I have more flower stamp sets than I can possibly EVER use, lol.
Once more I used PI´s set `brushed blooms´ set as it is so so so beautiful.

I used one of PI´s largest mat stacks to cut out my frame from a soft stone dotted paper, then added my flower and Sentiment.
The sentiment is heat embossed with silver embossing powder. :-)

Thank`s for visiting and have a good day.

Love card

I made this card a while ago, actually for Valentine`s day, just hadn`t the time to post it....
I used some pp I had (glittery paper with hearts) and glued it to my card base. Then I used a strip of sweet blush paper and and crimpled it ... basically only because I haven`t done that in a while :-)
I also used these three hearts I had in my stash, they were ready to go and have thread already sewn to them.
The word `love´ was die cut and adhered with glue. :-)

MIM: Score Lines

This week`s MIM is about adding score lines to your cards. Laurie does this quite often and it really gives her cards a unique touch.
I needed a sympathy card and didn`t have much time so I grabbed a flower from `beautiful brushstrokes´ I had previously stamped and used it for my card.
It`s a pretty simple card. But I incorporated the score lines and tried to highlight the edges by rubbing some white ink along the edges.
Have a nice day and thanks for visiting.

MIM: Ink blending over heat embossing

Did you see the last video of Danielle where she did some ink blending?
I love love love the cards she creates, not to mention her layering abilities which I TOTALLY don`t have....
You can find her tips and tricks  here
I really wanted to use the new `spring woods´ stamp set and dies because they had JUST arrived at my home and I do adore all the lovely backgrounds with ink blending but decided to keep it really simple. Just the birds and a tiny bit of ink blending over my sentiment.
I´m very pleased how it turned out, only blended a bit of soft stone ink over the heat embossed greeting.
I hope you like it too ;-)
Have a nice Easter weekend!

Brushed Blooms

Here`s another `brushed blooms´ card I made, this set is OH SO GORGEOUS!
If you do it like me, die cut a bunch of these flowers and stamp them in different colors, you will end up with a TON of cards.
Just impossible to make something ugly with this set :-)
Well ... that said, I hope you like my card :-))))

Create along with us

 Hello everyone!
It´s `create along with us´ time :-)
I liked this swirly fun new stamp set, Papertrey has in it`s release for this month and picked a pretty card from Dawn Mc Vey as my inspiration piece.
Here`s her card:

Pretty, huh?
I LOVE Dawn`s creations. Partly because her cards are always colorful and bright. Happy cards that simply make you smile :-)
Of course her creation made me think about circle scribbles but then I decided to use Papertrey`s silver patterned paper and add some flowers to it.
Here`s my card:

The flowers are from `brushed blooms´ and the sentiment is from Dawn`s ´signature greetings stamp set´. I adhered the panel to a soft stone card base.
Thank you for taking a look :-)

More notebooks

Today I´m posting more of the notebooks I embellished a while ago.
There are still 4 or 5 more to come but I´m busy with more cards at the moment so I will post them as soon as they are ready :-)
Have a nice day.

Ombre stenciled backgrounds

Hi there.
What a wonderful `Make it Monday´ video again, huh? Betsy`s cards are always amazing and this week she combined ink sponging with stencils.
I kinda forgot about both techniques a little so I thought I should give it a go.
I was pretty confident I would do well (lol) und just sponged right on to my paper as if I do this every day. Well ..... I could definitely see by the result that I DO NOT do it very often - I am just SO unpatient and didn`t do it carefully enough. `No big deal´ I thought, now comes the stencil and no one will see!´.
As my PI stencils haven`t arrived yet I needed to find me another one and I ended up using one from Memory Box, I believe. One with plenty of bubbles.
I used the same colors on the stencil that I had used for the background and ended up having a panel with a `bubble gum´ feel to it.
I tell you, I was THAT close to throwing it away!
Well ... in the end I didn`t and made the best out of it. Cut the panel twice, combined it with  soft stone patterned paper that I cut with a border die, pulled out my swoosh stamp...
I coloured the fox and the butterflies in those very same colors of the background (added some glitter to the butterflies´ wings) and tried to create a scene and in the end I looked at my card and thought `How ugly!´
Honestly, I was depressed!
Does that ever happen to you, that you feel like you are simply not able to create a BEAUTIFUL card? It really happens to me, every now and then and it`s truly disillusioning!
THEN ... my daughter came into my room, saw my bubble gum card and beamed `Moooom. Such a PRETTY card!!!´ Lol. She just loved the fox, I guess ;-)

Anyways. This card literally haunted me in my dreams and I decided to make one more that I would hopefully like.
This time I didn`t sponge the card panel first but used different colors right away on my stencil. Again one from Memory Box - and HOW I LOVE THIS stencil :-)
I was much more pleased with the result when I removed the stencil. No bubble gum feeling at all, yay!
I used new leaf ink, aqua mist and hawaiian shores ink, it`s reeeeeally pretty! Then I heat embossed a feather from feather finery on vellum, stamped the sentiment in black and colored the little bird on top of the feather with aqua mist on his stomach and new leaf in his face. As a finishing touch I added blue and green sequins here and there.
I´m happy with the result and I think ... I can sleep tonight. Lol.
Thank you for visiting and nice dreams to everyone!

Tiger`s paper

I liked this patterned paper SO much, that I had to buy it. It`s a paper that was sold in the local store I told you about a few days ago called `Tiger´. Thought that this little lion/tiger kind of animal was so so cute.... Used him for a notebook as well as for a card.

I adhered the pp on a black card base and surrounded the scene with a scallop border (from one of my frames I have in my stash). Used lovely lady for the first time and really enjoyed the color. Then I decided to soften everything a bit more, so I adhered a piece of vellum to the lover half of the card. Then heat embossed my sentiment on a strip of black cardstock.
This card really makes me smile :-))))
Here is the little notebook I was talking about. Isn`t this paper just cuuuute????

Vintage Linens (again) :-)

Next Vintage Linens card :-)
I opted to pair the flowers with my tipped topped dies, which I use WAY to seldom....
First I die cut the `scripted´ dies three times out of tropical teal cardstock and then backed the panel with black paper. Another aqua mist panel was cut with tipped tops and then I simply adhered the flower in the corner.
It was stamped with summer sunrise (center with berry sorbet) and the leaves were stamped with aqua mist.
Happy with this card :-)
