Create along with us - August 2017

Did you see this awesome, AWESOME card of Nichole`s?
I couldn`t stop staring at it.....
I decided to use her gorgeous card as an inspiration for me for this week`s create along with us.
This is the card I am talking about:
Stunning card, is it not???? Ooooh, I could swoon over this one for hours!!!!
So ......
I thought, I would create a frame and use some sort of die cuts for the inside, finished with a sentiment across the card.
Well .... I do like the result of my card but I´m not sure if one can see that the above card was used as a guide. Anyways.
I used one of my favorite dies from PI, the mighty oak. Lovely die.
I die cut some of the leaves double and popped some of them up with foam, the sentiment ist from `simple sentiments´.

Supplies: dies: leaf and sprig frame dies, mighty oak die
stamps: simple Sentiments
cs: ocean tides, White, various patterned papers

Make it Monday #294 Monochrome Color Pop

Hello everyone.
As mentioned earlier I have bought these sets of butterflies that I already used on some of my cards - so this challenge is another chance for me to put one of them to good use :-)
I´ll be honest - I was too lazy to do some monochrome stamping. Instead I chose to use one of my most favorite cover up dies from PI which is the Scallops Die. Such a great one!!!
The die cut is meant for the ´monochrome´ part and my butterfly is intended to be the `color´ pop.
Have a nice day.

Butterflies everywhere

Unfortunately we don`t have big scrapbook and crafting stores where I live ....so whenever I see something (mostly stickers and such) I immediately buy it to incorporate it into my cards.
This time I saw some folded butterflies and thought that they were cute.
I tried to create different looking cards with them. Here`s the first one, enjoy! :-)

Make It Monday #293: color slider cards

I was really happy to see this week`s challenge as I wanted to create such a slider card for some time.
So I took the opportunity to give it a go!
I used two older stamp sets from PI `Hello Foxy´ and `Wonderful Words: Together´.
I have to admit .... that I (kind of) cheated .... well not really cheated cheated but it felt like so a bit when I started creating my card.
I think it was SO clever how Lizzie created her slider card! Out of stuff she already had - that`s how it`s done!
Me? I am so not imaginative when it comes to coming up with such cool solutions, that`s the `cheat´ I did. I had already purchased a complete slider card die set from lawn fawn and I tell you - it is SO SO cool!!! It includes several shapes you can use for a window and a shape that cuts out your acetate piece .... it`s just SUPER CONVENIENT like this :-)

I started with a top folded kraft cardstock and impressed it with my woodgrain Impression plate. Then I sponged the edges with white ink to make the card pop a little bit more and splattered some white ink onto my base.
Here`s how it looks:

And here it is when the slider is fully pulled out:

This is the matching inside of the card:

And the envelope:

Super fun to make.
I then made another card with my slider dies and used the `cat`s meow´ stamp set from PI. This time I wanted to use a bit more patternded paper and here`s the result:

and with the completely pulled out tab:

These cards are just really fun to make :-)

miso happy

Hi there!
Played a bit with my new stamp set from Reverse Confetti (don`t they have just THE most adorable stamps and dies?) Reall - one of my favorite companies :-)
I purchased their new Releases stamp set `Miso happy´ cause I liked the cute pandas so much. Gotta create a lot more with this stamp set, that`s for sure.

I cut out a frame from mama elephant, I believe and embossed my card panel with some woodgrain embossing folder. I then sponged salty ocean and a lighter Color of distress ink onto it but you can hardly see it on the picture. I still gotta experiment more with these colors....
I inked up some star stamps with white unicorn ink and stamped them as a background. :)

Distress Oxide Inks

Hello.
I recently had (or took) some time to play with my new Distress Oxide Inks. I LOVE them. LOVE LOVE them and yet didn`t even do what I actually bought them for - creating seamless backgrounds ;-)
We have store here in my town and it has a VERY SMALL section of goodies for packaging, really Nothing special for crafters/cardmakers, but hey .... you gotta work with what you have, right?
They sold tiny butterflies and I thought that I could use them to make some 4x4 Cards.
That`s pretty much what I did PLUS I used my Oxide Inks with the smooshing technique to create Backgrounds.
Really really like the results, I have to say.
The black card turned out nice also. I used my dauber with cream ink for the background and then put tiny drops of white acrylic paint over that. Lovely :-)
Haha, I´m happy with myself, huh? -)
Have a wonderful day!

Home, when I´m with you

Hey there.....
Posting another card, I actually made a while ago but it wasn`t up to now, that I was `able´ to make a picture of it :-)
When I´m super busy and don`t seem to have quite the time for making a card I often grab some pieces that are lying around in my craft room (oh - and there are QUITE some pieces there lol) and Combine them to make  quick card anyways.
That`s exactly what I did here - and - I have to say: I LOVE this card!!!
The only `real work´ here was to emboss the white paper panel with a woodgrain embossing folder. Everything else was super easy, just combined what I liked. A piece of chipboard with adhesive on the back, a golden precut doily (I L O V E those doilies!!!!) and a tiny bit of patterned paper. Voila!

Make it Monday #288

Hi!:-)
Pantone Chips inspired Cards. What a fun idea!
Yesterday night I had a bit of time so I sat down and tried to create a pantone chip card....
Sorry for the bad pics - I just made quick pictures on my work desk.
I used the branch from ´latin motifs´ and heat embossed it with white embossing powder, then die cut it. Sentiment is from that set too!
For a bit of interest I made some lines with my stylo, I hardly ever do that and it`s SO pretty (I think).
Thank you for visiting and have a great day :-)

And that`s how the inside looks like:

Teacher

Our year at school is neary over, time to get those theacher cards ready for givin them away.
I used Lil´ Inker Designs `teacher talk´ stamp set and combined it with the mat stack 7 die from PI. They also have a swirly sentiment stamp set that goes perfectly with the dies - so I used all of them together and came up with this card. :-)

Together

Currently I´m busy with creating a holiday planner for my daughter. I bought a few chipboard shapes and some of them are just too big to find their way into the planner.
So - another reason to use them on a Card.
Also used one of my favorite embossing Folders, think it`s from Ranger. Gorgeous folder, really!
Love the golden foil on the letters :-)

Create along with us

I made a card today and I used one of Nichole Heady`s cards as a guide.
I really liked the new mix and mat die, she used and remembered that I have a similar die in my stash. It`s not from PI but I used the brushed blooms stamp set from them - one of my all time favorites!!!
As I was a bit lazy today I decided to use some watercolor patterned paper for my backgroud.
Here`s Nicholes card:

And here the one I made:

Doodlebug at the zoo

Hi there. After quite some time here`s another post from me :-)
When I went groceries shopping the other day I saw these cute little notebooks. They were sold in packages of 4 for just 2€ and had super fun patterns on their covers. I immediately thought that these would make great gifts for my daughter`s friends and so I bought 5 packages.
All I did was to embellish them with die cuts I had already purchased a while ago (doolebug at the zoo odds and ends)
Then I stamped a bunch of letters (Clearly Besottd `typed alphabet´) for the children`s names, punched them out and created the various names.
I hope .... everybody will be happy :-)

here`s a close up of the one, my daughter wanted for her :-)

10th Anniversary Challenge: Transformation

Okay .... Today it`s all about transforming a card that didn`t turn out the way you wanted into something ... well ... I guess more beautiful :-)
Sooooo.
I went through my cards up in my room and it didn`t take long until I found this abondoned piece:

I think it`s from one of PI`s previous challenge. Nichole wanted us to use our inks to create a Background and then spritz it with water.
Well, well, well.
I REALLY did my best to save this card! Embossed the cardbase, used patterned paper behind my sponged piece, added washi tape. Nothing really helped. Totally disliked my card.
So todayI tried once more and here`s card nr. 1:

I used the same colors on my Background but kept it more simple as the whole sponging thing is really busy allready. I like this card better than the first one but STILL wasn`t super happy about it. So I made another one.

And finally I can go to bed tonight and say: sponging may not be my thing but at least I created a card I can send to someone:-)
The softer sponging here is much more to my liking and the sequin is a nice bling also, don`t you think?
Thank you very much for visiting and good night!

10th Anniversary: Altered Envelope

Hello!
I`m trying to participate as much as possible in the PI celebration but it`s hard for me because I have 2 little ones at home and my focus is on them of course.
That said it still feels as if I´m cheating a bit on this one but all I could do was to create a card and envelope as fast as possible while my youngest was taking his nap.
I recently purchased a bunch of beautiful - I tell ya - gorgeous butterflies in a local store with a small crafting section and I had to use those.
So what`s easier than to use one of PI`s luxe foil designer papers and Pop the Butterfly right into that circle? :-
I tell you, it doesn`t look like something special on the picture but in real life it`s really pretty!
Good night everyone.

Here`s a close up:

And the matching envelope:

10th Anniversary: Favorite Florals

A perfect theme for me today, as I LOVE LOVE LOVE floral stamp sets. I think it was a year ago that I thought `oh, I have so many floral sets I don`t eed any more ... this is gonna save me a lot of money´.
Well ... needless to say how wrong I was and that I just had to learn that this moment will NEVER come that I will stop to purchase a new floral set :-) (it`s all about accepting the reality, right?:-))
So, here is one of my favorite sets from PI and a card with a spring feel to it!
`Brushed Blooms´ is an absolutely GORGEOUS set which you simply cannot miss in your stash. Impossible to create something ugly with it - for reals!
Here I used the colors sweet blush, lavender moon, soft Stone, melon berry, simply chartreuse, ocean tides and black ink.
The sentiment is from an older set `signature greetings I´.
This card really makes me happy :-)
Thank you for stopping by...

Stitched Coaster Die

Hi,
so excited to see more stitching dies coming in the (near) future - love them SO much!
The stitching coaster die used for a `tic tac toe´ game made me smile and encouraged me to get crafty myself.
I have made some key fobs for my family recently so I took the flow I´m in to make another one using Lizzy`s coaster as my inspiration piece.
Here`s her creative use of the coaster die:

I really liked the combination of the red, black and aqua color and chose similar colors for my key fob.
I also stitched on some clear beads and a bigger one in the middle. Always so much fun to do a stitching project!

Celebrating the Past, Present and Future - 2015

Hello!
2015 one of my most mostest more mostest :-) favorite stamp sets was released: The BRUSHED BLOOMS! In-cred-ible set, truly!
PI`s celebration was a good possibility to get back to that set and I tried to create a card with a bit different colors (Ttropical teal) and a German sentiment (which I rarely do) :-)
Here it is:

PI celebration 2007

10 years Papertey Ink - can you believe it???
Since the very first day I found out about this company I LOVED their products, and still do! :-)
Wanted to participate in the celebrations and used Heather`s card as an inspiration.

I don`t own any of the 2007 sets shown by PI`s esigners but immediately thought about using one of the `botanical sets´ when I saw some of the examples.

So: here`s my card.
I used the botanical blocks III stamp set from Papertrey and stamped it onto some watercolor paper with Versamark. Then took white embossing powder, heat set it and watercolored the image with some Zig markers. Looooove those! They`re truly great!
Also used the botanical blocks dies for the two panels.

Polka Dot Parade #4

Made a card:-)))) Yeahhh :-)
I really don`t get to create ANYTHING these days but as there should be some baby arrivals pretty soon I needed to get going!
Used an all time favorites of mine for baby cards `Polka Dot Parade #4`
Just in love with the cute bear (as you can see)

Stitched phone cases

Hello.
Here are some phone cases I recenly made (one for myself and the others were giveaways). Really needed to use my PI phone case die that I had neglected for sooo long.
Personally I think they are a bit more durable if you use heat´n bond on BOTH sides of the phone case (as well as on the closure). You want some protection for your phone, right?
Here are the one`s I made
